Arizona trade increases in October

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico and Canada rose. Arizona exports to Mexico grew 8.0% to $872.2 million, and Arizona exports to Canada increased 3.3% to $232.7 million.

On the import side, year-over-year imports from Mexico increased, while imports from Canada saw larger gains. Imports from Mexico rose 2.0% to $858.4 million, and imports from Canada grew 23.5% to $253.1 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw decreases in both exports and imports. Year-over-year exports fell 2.9% to $1.1 billion, and imports dropped 3.8% to $2.0 billion.
