Arizona exports rise while imports see moderate declines

Over the year, Arizona exports to both Mexico and Canada saw increases. Arizona exports to Mexico rose 79.9% to $1.4 billion, and Arizona exports to Canada increased 20.0% to $261.8 million.

On the import side, year-over-year imports from both Mexico and Canada decreased in February. Imports from Mexico dropped 20.0% to $904.3 million, and imports from Canada fell 23.8% to $183.6 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw decreases in both exports and imports. Year-over-year exports fell 0.8% to $1.0 billion, and imports dropped 10.4% to $2.0 billion.
