Arizona exports to Mexico and imports from Canada rise, while rest of trade slows

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico saw sizeable gains, while exports to Canada decreased. Arizona exports to Mexico increased 17.3% to $807.9 million, and exports to Canada fell 19.6% from last October to $170.18 million.
On the other hand, over the year imports from Mexico declined, while imports from Canada rose. Arizona imports from Mexico fell 11.0% to $842.2 million, and imports from Canada rose 11.5% to $214.9 million.
Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw an increase in exports and a decrease in imports. Over the year, exports rose 4.6% to $1.1 billion, and imports fell 5.2% to $2.1 billion.
