Imports from Mexico surge in November

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico and Canada fell. Arizona exports to Mexico dropped 1.5% to $789.2 million, and exports to Canada decreased 4.6% to $245.4 million.

On the import side, year-over-year imports from Mexico surged, while imports from Canada saw weaker gains. Imports from Mexico increased 74.3% to 1.5 billion, while imports from Canada grew a more modest 2.9% to $230.4 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw increases in both exports and imports. Year-over-year exports rose 7.4% to $1.1 billion, and imports increased 9.7% to $1.8 billion.
