Arizona trade with Mexico increases, while trade with Canada falls

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico surged, while exports to Canada dropped. Arizona exports to Mexico rose an astounding 53.7% to $1.1 billion, and exports to Canada dropped 16.3% to $253.1 million.

Similarly, over the year imports from Mexico nearly doubled, while imports from Canada fell. Arizona imports from Mexico rose 87.8% to $2.2 billion, and imports from Canada fell 20.9% to $218.8 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw an increase in exports and a decrease in imports. Over the year, exports rose 5.5% to $1.0 billion, and imports fell 5.6% to $2.3 billion.
