Canada imports surge 39.0% over the year

Over the year exports to Mexico decreased in March, while exports to Canada rose. Arizona exports to Mexico dropped 4.8% in March to $718.9 million. Exports to Canada rose 7.7% from last March to $302.2 million.

Imports from both Mexico and Canada saw increases in March 2024. Arizona imports from Mexico saw a slight 3.2% increase over the year to $1.2 billion, while imports from Canada rose an impressive 39.0% to $276.5 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw decreases in exports and increases in imports. Over the year, exports decreased 15.2% to $972.7 million, and imports rose 3.9% to $2.4 billion.
