Arizona exports to Mexico show strong year-over-year growth, while little changes in other categories

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico nearly doubled, while exports to Canada fell. Arizona exports to Mexico surged 96.7% over the year to $1.5 billion, and exports to Canada dropped 11.2% to $192.7 million.

On the import side, over the year imports from both Mexico and Canada saw increases in July. Imports from Mexico rose a slight 0.9% to $808.9 million, and imports from Canada rose 14.4% to $233.5 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw a rise in Exports and a decline in Imports. Over the year, exports rose 0.1% to $1.1 billion, and imports fell 3.2% to $1.8 billion.
