Arizona Exports to Mexico rise while the rest of trade decreases

Over the year, exports to Mexico saw notable gains, while exports to Canada decreased. Arizona exports to Mexico rose 16.7% to $747.2 million, and exports to Canada declined by 20.7% from last July to $204.9 million.
Imports from both Mexico and Canada decreased over the year in July. Arizona imports from Mexico fell 5.0% to $802.4 million, and imports from Canada decreased by 23.8% to $201.0 million.
Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw an increase in both exports and imports. Over the year, exports rose 13.4% to $1.1 billion, and imports expanded 5.1% to $1.9 billion.
