Mexico leads export growth while imports are mixed

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico saw strong gains, while exports to Canada saw a slight decrease. Arizona exports to Mexico rose 24.7% to $803.6 million, and exports to Canada moderated 3.1% $235.5 million.

Inversely, over the year imports from Mexico slightly declined, while imports from Canada increased. Arizona imports from Mexico dropped 12.8% to $1.0 billion, and imports from Canada increased 8.3% to $226.7 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw increases in both imports and exports. Over the year, exports rose 10.1% to $1.1 billion, and imports increased 2.3% to $2.4 billion.
