Arizona exports to Mexico rise, while other trade decreases

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico saw notable gains, while exports to Canada moderated. Arizona exports to Mexico rose 15.7% to $757.3 million, and exports to Canada fell from last August by 4.5% to $206.3 million.
Imports from both Mexico and Canada decreased over the year in August. Arizona imports from Mexico fell 4.5% to $806.4 million, and imports from Canada dropped 13.9% to $203.3 million.
Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw an increase in both exports and imports, Over the year, exports rose 1.0% to $1.0 billion, and imports expanded 4.3% to $1.8 billion.
