Exports to Canada decreased; all other trade increased in April

Over the year, exports to Mexico increased in April, while exports to Canada fell. Arizona exports to Mexico experienced a 9.4% increase to $719.9 million. Exports to Canada decreased 10.6% from last April to $237.0 million. 

Imports from both Mexico and Canada saw increases in April 2024. Arizona imports from Mexico saw an impressive 17.1% increase to $1.2 billion, and imports from Canada rose 10.5% to $221.4 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw increases in both exports and imports. Over the year, exports increased 18.3% to $1.1 billion, and imports rose 39.6% to $2.5 billion.
