Arizona exports to Canada and imports from Mexico rose, while imports from Canada and exports to Mexico fell

Arizona exports to Mexico decreased significantly, by 12.9% over the year, in June, totaling $644.7 million. Exports to Canada increased by 22.6% over the year to $249.4 million, with each month so far this year showing continuous over-the-year improvement.
Imports from Mexico rose 9.5% to a total of $1.2 billion. Imports from Canada decreased by 5.5%, hitting $214.8 million.
Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE experienced a decrease in exports and strong gains in imports. Exports in June were down 6.3% over the year to $912.1 million. Imports were up 19.7% compared to June 2022, ascending to $2.4 billion.
