Arizona trade rises in February

Exports to both Mexico and Canada saw notable increases in February. Arizona exports to Mexico managed to beat their over-the-year losing streak in February, rising by 13.3% to $738.3 million. Exports to Canada rose 19.9% from last February to reach $272.8 million.

Imports from both Mexico and Canada saw sizeable increases in February 2024. Arizona imports from Mexico saw an impressive 19.5% increase to $1.2 billion, and imports from Canada similarly rose 21.3% to $236.4 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE similarly experienced increases in the second month of 2024. Over the year, exports increased 1.5% to $991.4 million, and imports surged 25.9% to $2.4 billion.
