Arizona trade with Mexico decreased in April, while for Canada there was a rise in exports and a drop in imports

Arizona exports to Mexico decreased 0.1% over the year in April, totaling $658.1 million. Exports to Canada increased by 27.7% over the year to $263.9 million, slightly lower than the high from March.

Imports from Mexico fell 2.7% to a total of $989.6 million, the lowest this year. Imports from Canada decreased by 14.7%, hitting $198.8 million.

Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw a significant decrease in both exports and imports. Exports in April were down 9.2% over the year to $900.1 million. Imports were down 10.9% compared to April 2022, sinking to $1.8 billion.
