Arizona trade with Mexico increased in March, while for Canada there was a drop in imports and a gain in exports
Arizona exports to Mexico increased 1.1% over the year in March, totaling $755 million. Exports to Canada increased by 11.8% to $281 million, an all-time high figure with data going back to 2001.
Imports from Mexico rose 8.7% to a total of $1.1 billion, an all-time high figure with data going back to 2008. Imports from Canada decreased by 16.9%, hitting $199 million.
Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw a slight decrease in exports and an increase in imports. Exports in March were down 0.8% over the year to $1.1 billion. Imports were up 4.7% compared to March 2022, reaching $2.3 billion.
