All Arizona import and export metrics rose in September
September marks another month of increased Arizona exports and imports to Mexico and Canada. Arizona exports to Mexico rose 21.7% over the year in September, to $792 million. Additionally, exports to Canada were up 33.3% over the year, for a total of $192 million.
Imports from Mexico and Canada were up respectively, 14.4% and 9.1%. This leads to $726 million in imports from Mexico and $187 from Canada.
Commodity flows through Arizona’s Border Ports of Entry (BPOE) experienced a year-over-year increase in both imports and exports. September’s total U.S. imports through Arizona BPOE increased by 18.4% from September 2021, reaching $1.6 billion. U.S. exports through Arizona BPOE were up 6.1% over September 2021, to $1.0 billion.
