Arizona exports rise, while imports from Mexico moderate

Over the year, Arizona exports to Mexico saw notable gains, while exports to Canada saw a smaller increase. Arizona exports to Mexico rose 31.1% to $794.8 million, and exports to Canada increased 2.6% to $205.6 million
On the other hand, over the year imports from Mexico declined, while imports from Canada saw notable growth. Arizona imports from Mexico decreased 2.6% to $852.5 million, and imports from Canada rose 23.3% to $226.2 million.
Commodity flows through Arizona’s BPOE saw an increase in exports and a decrease in imports. Over the year, exports rose 7.4% to $1.0 billion, and imports fell 13.4% to $1.6 billion.
